She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Howard and Martha Murphy Howard; her husband Benjamin Graves; and her siblings, Martha Hellen Holmes, Virginia Rose Howard, John T. Howard and Willie V. Howard.

She is survived by: her niece Minnie Anderson of Waverly, VA. She is also survived by nephews, cousins, and friends.
