He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ward and Lois Ward (Bowman). He is survived by: his wife Joan; and his daughters, Amy Kingsley (John) of Fishersville, VA and Jill Stevens of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
