He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewis W. Folks and Ethel Gear Folks; his spouse Clarabell Scott; his daughter Kay Herring; his sister Elsie Carr of Dover, DE; his daughter Lynda Davis (Browning) of Stuarts Draft; his grandchildren, James L Jay (Megan) of Roanoke, Kathy Jay Gingerich (Derrick) of Stuarts Draft, Stephanie Davis (Ken Herz) of Stuarts Draft and Amy Herring Showers (Kenton) of Waynesboro; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Jay, Jayson Gingerich, Ethan Jay, David Showers and Wyatt Showers.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public service, but a private graveside service will be held on May 1, 2020 with Pastors Gene and Linda Arey officiating.
