It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma Gertrude (Wood) Bryant of Waynesboro, Virginia, born in Earlysville, Virginia, who passed away on October 18, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Mason Henry "Shorty" Bryant of Waynesboro; her parents, Rubin Lester Wood and Lizzie Gertrude Wood (Wyant); and her siblings, Maynard, Wallace, Boyd Wood and Lottie Yowell.
She is survived by: her children, Stanley Bryant (Reba), Steve Bryant (Brenda Kay), Marilyn Hodge (Kenny) and Ronette Poole (Bryant); and her siblings, Hiram Wood, Curtis Wood, Gracie Truslow and Betty Tomlin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and other extended family.
