With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Alonzo Anderson Jr. (Waynesboro, Virginia), who passed away on September 17, 2019 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Anderson Sr. and Margaret Anderson; his wife Pauline Anderson; his daughter Patricia Smedley Lotts; his sister Katherine Brooks; his niece Nancy Deadman; and his close friend Frances Gaynor.
He is survived by: his son Michael Anderson (Kimberly) of Cary, NC; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Duncklee (Ross) of Waxhaw, NC and Christopher Anderson of Cary, NC; his great grandchildren, Luke and Brooke Duncklee; his stepchildren, Kathrine Woods (Tony) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Gregg Best (Jerrie) of Cleveland, TN; his stepgrandchildren, Kelly Fleming (Will), Garth Best (Sharon) and Meg Best; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, William, David Fleming, Grant and Beau Best.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
