He is survived by: his wife Mary Susan Taylor Shifflett; his daughters, Brenda S. Hutchinson (Darrell), Anita D. Shifflett (Pastor Jeff) and Rebecca F. Powell (Brian); his grandchildren, Steve Colvin, Angela Backe and Fletcher Powell; and his great grandchildren, Cierra Colvin, Victoria Mayfield, Thomas Backe, Zachariah Backe, Andrew Backe and Emilyn Backe.
