He was predeceased by: his wife Henrietta Unrau of Kleefeld, Manitoba.; and his son Latta. He is survived by: his children, Christianne and Ian (Wendy); his daughter-in-law Gina; and his siblings, Bernard (Janice), Donald (Linda) and Llew (Bob). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
