He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Brent Moore, Sr. and Jane Oewel Moore; his brother Edward Towson Moore; his sister-in-law Mary Lea Moore; and his nephew Charles Ross Moore.

He is survived by : his children, Karen M. Miller and Robert Brent Moore III; his grandsons, Jacob E. Deane (Mackenzie K. Deane) of Winchester, VA and Ethan N. Deane of Winston-Salem, NC; his stepgranddaughters, Lauren Boothe (Christopher Boothe) of Kernersville, NC and Eden Miller of Wytheville; his brother Charles O. Moore of Jefferson, GA; and his sister-in-law Linda L. Moore of Durham, NC..
