He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl H. Bennington and Lottie Wilcher Bennington. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Whitaker Bennington of Wytheville; his daughter Melissa; his son-in-law George Vipperman of Marion; his son Chris; his daughter-in-law Reba Bennington of Narrows; his grandsons, Zachary Vipperman, Matthew Vipperman and Landon Bennington; and his sisters, Uvon (Wayne McDaniel) and Ginger Rowsey of Radford. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
