With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hugh Rogers Hamilton of Yorktown, Virginia, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on August 13, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hugh Hamilton and Maude Walthall Hamilton of Yorktown. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Powell Hamilton; his children, John Rogers Hamilton of Coatesville and Angela Lanier Hamilton; his son-in-law Grant Philip Meek of Vancouver; and his brothers-in-law, Oppie Powell of Yorktown and Dicky Powell of Toano. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, grandkids, and friends.

A private remembrance of life will be held once Covid is over and the world is back to whatever will eventually pass for normal.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family encourages everyone to vote for Joe Biden.
