It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman R. Cross Jr. in Barton, Vermont, who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Herman Cross and Bertha Cross (Bunnell); his wife Gwendolyn Ellingwood of Colebrook, NH.; his children, Daniel Cross (Bonnie), Nancy Frizzell, Carol (Buster Reilly), Randall (Marguerite Cross) and Peggy (David Fedele); his grandchildren, Peter Applebee, Jacque Cross Sarter, Douglas Petell, Mark, Jessica Reilly, Nathan Cross, Melissa Fedele, Christie Fedele Brasseur, Patty Cross Avery, Lisa Cross and Jamie Cross Fisher; his nephews, Dennis, Ron, Gary Cross and Duane Rainville (Bo); his former life partner Gwen; his son James; his nephew Reg Ellingwood; and also Shirley Cross. He was also cherished by 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 80 in Island Pond, P.O. Box 350, Island Pond, VT 05846 in memory of Herman and Gwen Cross.
