He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Helgert and Jeanette Helgert (Tooley). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Alonzo; his children, Ed, Lyn Parker (Tom) of Buskirk and Edward J. Helgert III of Brunswick, NY.; and his sisters, Joan Shannon of Bethel, CT and Nell Westlo of West Haven, CT. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
