He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Sweet and Ida Sweet (Hurley); his wife Ruth Sweet; his children, John Sweet (Patty), Walter Sweet (Julie) and Tina Pierce (Gerry) of Bennington; his sisters, Josephine Colvin of Shaftsbury and Sadie Rice of Pownal; and his grandchildren, Nathan Sweet, Josh Root, Molly Sweet, Justin Sweet, Krystal Pierce, Laurie Pierce and Sarah Gagnon. He was also cherished by 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
