It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William John Phillips (Bennington, Vermont), who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roderick Phillips and Mary Phillips (Roberts); his daughter Deanna Phillips; and his brothers, Joe Phillips and Rod Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Jocelyn Hay (Bill), Casandra Guetti (Tom) and Tisean Phillips (Matishaus); his siblings, David Phillips (Maxine), Jo Anne LaDuke (Mike) and Mary Alice Phillips; his grandchildren, Quintessa Hay, Brenden Hay, Caleb Hay, Cheyenne Guetti, Jaiden Guetti, Taeya Guetti, Hudson Phillips, Legend Phillips and Acelynn Phillips (Donna Barrett); and also Cynthia Collett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the E. P. Mahar and Son Funeral Home (628 Main St, Bennington, VT 05201). A reception will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
