He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Albert Tyler and Doris Tyler (Ware); his spouse Virginia "Jean" Urko; his children, Kelly Tyler of Brattleboro, Brenda LaRock (Rocky) of Guilford and Gregory Tyler; and his brother Frederick Tyler. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
