He was predeceased by: his father Francis J. Cain; and his sister Betsy Nelson. He is survived by: his close friend Joanne Wells; his daughters, Devon Fleming-Cain Anderson (Tom), Erin Cain (Dave Pratt) and Darcey Wells (Ross Bisbee); his grandchildren, Addison, Ben, Thomas Michael, Grace, Sidney, Paxton and Alex; his mother Mary Jane; his siblings, Bill (Marilee), Carolyn Breiner (Tom), Thomas (Clarissa), Patty Haynes (Michael), Ted Nelson, Susan O'Brien (Bill) and Barbara (Glen); and his cousin Brian Cain (Lilli). He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Given the current state of the COVID-19 virus in Vermont, a private service will be held for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Albans Recreation Department.
