He was predeceased by: his brother Wally Benoit. He is survived by: his parents, Sylvester Benoit and Mabel Benoit (Bergeron); his wife Ruth E. Benoit (Spaulding); his children, William Benoit, Jr., Jodii Benoit and Lori Wallace (Michael); his grandchildren, Meagan, Miranda, Adam, Katherine, Matthew and Benjamin; and his brother Douglas Benoit.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Keeseville United Methodist Church.
