She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ruby and Mary Ruby (Ross); her husband Henry J. VanGuilder; her son-in-law Jonas H. Rosenthal; and her siblings, Thomas, Anthony, Dominic, Michael, James, Joseph, Raymond, Francis "Chich" Ruby, Carmen "Minnie" Sbardella, Josephine Ruby and Marie "Mollie" Horton.
She is survived by: her children, Jima VanGuilder of Wells and Jerry VanGuilder (Mary) of Tallahassee; her grandchildren, Sean VanGuilder, Andrew VanGuilder and Katherine Rosenthal; and her great grandchildren, Bree VanGuilder, Hunter VanGuilder, Payton VanGuilder and Tatum VanGuilder. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Durfee Funeral Home & Cremation Service (119 N Main St, Fair Haven, VT 05743). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Raphael Catholic Church (21 E Main St, Poultney, VT 05764).
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Poultney Public Library, 205 Main Street, Poultney, Vermont 05764.
