He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Smith and Karlene Smith (Boardman); his siblings, Rick Smith and Wendy Griffin; and his parents-in-law, Arland and Janice Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his stepsons, Atti (Vanessa Seguin) of Wheelock, VT and Eri (Laura Seguin) of Martha's Vineyard, MA; his grandchildren, Natalie, Elliot Seguin of Wheelock, Adelaide and Grace Seguin of Martha's Vineyard; his sister Sherri Pedroncelli (Burt) of Bellflower, CA; his sister-in-law Lori Smith of Lyndonville; and also, Jeffrey Smith (Shelly) of Sutton, Linda Choquette (Dennis) of Glover, Barbara Shafer (Brent) of Barton, DeeDee Collette (Mark) of Irasburg and Sheila Butler Kepler (Sandy) of West Glover. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and many close friends.
He knew chainsaws inside and out and even made an instructional video for his niece who because of covid was not allowed to travel to Vermont from Mass to hear it in person.
