It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Dorothy Stokes Ruprecht (Middlebury, Vermont), who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Hannah Hamilton and Thomas Stokes; her husband Carl; her children, Amy Rugg (Tom) of Winooski, Carl Ruprecht (Susan) of East Berkshire, Wendy Ordway of Hinesburg, Jody Brakeley (Davis) of Salisbury and Elly; her friend Pat Pope; and also, Tom Woodward, Paul Connor, Jill Vickers, Joanie, Art Huestis, Art Provencher, Jonas Hastings and David Breen. She was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Church (326 College St, Middlebury, VT 05753).

If you would like, Elly would surely be pleased if you would consider making a donation in her memory to Shard Villa to help them build a new side deck for the residents, which will overlook the space where her garden grew each summer.
