It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Theil Cohen (Montpelier, Vermont), who passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Louis Theil and Minnie Theil (Banks) of Coney Island; her siblings, Sidney Theil and Rhoda Lazar; and her sons, Mitchell Cohen, Ronnie Cohen and Gary Cohen.
She is survived by : her husband Leonard Cohen; her daughter Lori Cohen (Brian Tuttle); her son-in-law Bruce Willette; and her grandchildren, Jacob Larrabee (Amber), Aaron Larrabee (Jenice) and Rachel Rouleau (Robert). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
She continued to sing and loved to entertain until Parkinson's negatively affected her voice.
