He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan Nelson and Marion Nelson (Hoyt); his siblings, Georg Nelson (Janet), Carl Nelson (Tom) and Ruth Lamotte; and his siblings-in-law, Bill, Jim Aldrich and Joyce Aldrich (French).
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Aldrich of Derby; his children, Bill Nelson and Rebecca Hardy (John); his grandchildren, Tessa Ann Nelson, Cooper Nelson, Thomas Hardy (Katie) and John Curtis Hardy (Morgan Blanchard); his great grandchild Colton Hardy; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Aldrich (Betty) and Dean Aldrich (Christie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and grand nieces and nephews.
