He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John R McCann and Rita McCann (Collette); his wife Lynne Fonteneau McCann of North Bennington; and his siblings, Murray McCann, Cynthia Harvey, Collette Schoelkopf (William) and Paula McCann. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter in Shaftsbury, VT, or the Fund for North Bennington.
