She was predeceased by : her husband John A. Wallace (Jack); her daughter Meg Wallace; her brother Bob Higgins; and her son-in-law Alan Jones. She is survived by : her husband Jack Wallace; her parents, Nellie Higgins (Vyverberg) and Dick Higgins; her daughters, Barbara George, Lynn Herzog, Martha Wallace-Jones of Brattleboro and Jan Blodgett of Winooski; her sons-in-law, Bob George, Georges Herzog and Steve Blodgett; her grandchildren, Jenny Backus of Washington, Anna George of Slomianski, Carey Backus of San Francisco, Sophie Backus of Tavares, Louise Herzog of Brookline, Helen Jones of Portland and Thomas Herzog of Bellows Falls; and also Betts.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Betts may be made in her name to Brattleboro Senior Meals, the Brattleboro Music Center, and the John A Wallace Endowed Fund at the School for International Training.
