He was predeceased by : his parents, Reginald Fortin and Virginia Fortin (Cormier); his brothers, Maurice Fortin and Marcel Fortin; and his son Joseph D. Fortin.
He is survived by : his wife Betsy Fortin of St. Johnsbury; his daughters, Jocelyn M. Vanasse (Jon) of Irasburg, VT and Jennifer McKinney (Steve) of Concord, NH; his daughter-in-law Nicquelle Timson (Shawn); his siblings, Mark Fortin, Michelle Noyes (Dennis), Monique Fortin and Marcie Northrop (Jim); and his grandchildren, Lincoln Joseph, Brenna Rose, Phinehas, Gloria Elizabeth, Lydia Marie and Gregory Jon Vanasse. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
