He is survived by: his parents, Harley Austin and Gladys Lena Palin (Gray); his wife Evelyn; and his children, Dianne Alexander (Ron), Susan Gleason (James), Sondra Stearns (James Byron), Nancy Langan and Richard Palin (Leigh Anne). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
