She was predeceased by : her daughter Anne Lasher Payne; her mother Frances O'Hearn Dempsey; and her uncles, Larry (Marion) and William Dempsey (Irma). She is survived by : her husband William "Bill" Lasher; her father John Dempsey; her grandson Will of Creedmoor, N. C.; her siblings, John "Jack" (Doreen), Harold (Darlene), William (Muriel), James (Sharon), George (Mary), Michael (Kathy), Donald (Debbie), Kenneth (Kathleen), Christopher (Carole Lyne) and Marie Dempsey Grant (Lorenzo); her close friends, Mary Kay and Maurice Lussier; and her friend Lisa Coyle Hanlon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to either St. Peter's in Vergennes, VT or St. Bernadette in Butner, NC.
