He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hilde Martens and Walter Martens; his wife Merrily Ann Martens; his children, Nicole Meinke (Ken) of Newport, VT and Derrick Martens (Marni) of Waterbury Center, VT; his grandchildren, Braden, Walker and Haley; his siblings, Jurgen Martens (Lineke) of Northvale and Jutta Martens of Bochum, Germany; and his siblings' children, Tanya Martens and Kevin Tubbs.
