He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis A. Messier and Ida Messier (Lumbra); his wife Barbara Messier; his grandson Donald Messier; and his sisters, Theresa Messier, Bessie Cleveland, Ubaldine Boivin, Anna Grow and Phyllis Bianco.
He is survived by : his son Louis R. Messier, Jr. (Brenda) of Waterbury; his granddaughter Amy Currier (Steve) of Waterbury Center; and his great grandchildren, Austin Hoyt, Hailey Messier, Cameron Currier and Emma Currier.
