We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2025, at the age of 86, Elwin Elbert Smead Sr. of Weathersfield Bow, Vermont, born in Brookfield, Vermont passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elwin Elbert Smead Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Lori Ann; and his siblings, Harold Smead and Edith Stillson. He is survived by: his wife Norma L. Smead of Weathersfield Bow; his children, Elwin Smead, Jr. (Yavonne) of Benson, VT, Patricia Fluette (Benny) of Claremont, NH and Scott Smead (Terry) of Weathersfield Bow; and his siblings, Jane Kidder of Ascutney, VT and Richard Smead (Shirley McNutt-Greenwood) of Weathersfield Bow. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Knight Funeral Home (65 Ascutney St, Windsor, VT 05089). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at the Weathersfield Bow Cemetery.
