With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Shumate (Aberdeen, Washington), born in Hoquiam, Washington, who passed away on July 10, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolland Shumate and Bernice Shumate; his children, Dennis Shumate and Tina Benner; and his siblings, Rolland Shumate Jr., Bob Shumate, Coral Palmer, Opal Smith and Pearl Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Shumate of Montesano, WA; his children, Steve Shumate of Montesano, WA and Cindy Stutesman of Seattle, WA; and his siblings, Floyd Shumate of Satsop, WA, Bill Shumate of Rochester, WA, Ruby Triggs of Jasper, AL, Emerald Kelly of Portland, OR and Burl Davis of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
