He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather John "Doug" McCullom; his wife Bette; his children, John, Kathleen (Bob), Tom, Louise and Karen (Peter); his grandchildren, Andrew, Rebekah (Kevin), Sarah, Robert, Rachel, Sara, Megan, Kristen and Lauren; his father Lloyd; and his sister Anne. He was also cherished by his extended family which included his nieces, nephews and in-laws.
