He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Payson Carper and Bessy Carper (Bowman); his wife Charlotte Lehua Hao; his children, Linda Gruver, Christopher Dean Carper, Greg, Bob, Dan, Tim, Laura Carson, Lisa Gruver and Kim Schrader; and his granddaughter Abby. He was also cherished by 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
