She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew Rakos and Dora Rakos (Dana); and her brother Richard Rakos. She is survived by : her husband Sam; her son Andy; her daughter-in-law Stephanie; her daughter Deborah; her grandchildren, LeRae, Hailey, Hunter and Heather; her great grandchild Tanner; and her brothers, Bob and Mikey Rakos.

Memorial contributions in Karen's honor are suggested to the Roslyn Presbyterian Church, the Cle Elum Fire Department or to the Seattle Children's Hospital, a place that holds a special place in her heart after their years of care for her brother.
