He was predeceased by: his parents, DeMoine Sr. Gilchrist and Dora Gilchrist; his siblings, DeMoine Gilchrist Jr. and Robert Gilchrist (Bob); and his children, Terry Gilchrist and Karen Lathrop.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Lewis; his sister Catherine McCaffery (Penny Gilchrist); and his children, David Gilchrist (Sue) and Susan Recob (Craig). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rather than flowers, donations can be made to the Colfax Jr. Rodeo in Jerry's honor, care of Carrie Lyle.
