He was predeceased by : his mother Rita Drake; and his niece BrandyLee Judd. He is survived by : his father Melvin Drake (Colville); his sister BobbieLee (Carl) Gleave (Colville); and his nephews, Brandon Judd (Heather) of Colville, Jesse Gleave of Colville and Josh Gleave (JonieMarie) of Colville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gene's honor to the Woodland Theater in Kettle Falls, WA.

“I am so sad to hear about Genes death. I was able to care for Gene while he resided in our facility. He always had the jokes, and a great talent with his wood work and painting. My greatest sympathies go out to Genes loved ones. I am happy to imagine Rita and Gene’s reunion in the sky. ♥️”
