He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Coleman and Celia "Pete" Coleman (Smith); his sister Nancy Coleman; and his stepson Eric Buckner. He is survived by: his wife Polly Coleman of Colville, WA; his former spouses, Colleen Cameron (Scott) of Spokane, WA, Clayton Coleman (Christina) of Spokane, WA and Courtney Garcia (Mike) of Spokane, WA; his stepdaughter Brenda Campbell (Jason) of Colville, WA; his grandchildren, Cassandra Powers, Cynthia Crosby, Shane Anderson, Colin Cameron, Wyatt Coleman, Chevelle Martinez and Cook Campbell; his great grandchildren, Lyla Powers, Lily Powers and Zayne Turner; and his siblings, Mike Coleman (Ann) of Jefferson, TX, Pat McCarty of Haughton, LA, Vicki Edwards (Glenn) of Houston, TX and Jeri McCarthy (Dennis) of Waltham, MA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended family.
