He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John W. Gearhart and Lucy Gearhart; his wife Marilyn Viebrock; his sister Gertrude Waller; his children, Cami and Jim; and his grandchildren, Alex, Max, Sam Burner, Michael, Jessica and Nicole Gearhart.
Sadly, in his last years Walt faced the deteriorating effects of Alzheimer's. Still, throughout the disease's progression Walt retained his energy and determination.
