He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Yates and Sarah Yates (Evans); and his brother Mike Yates. He is survived by: his wife Hazel; his children, Nikki Shrader of Stevensville, Montana, Aaron J. Yates of Fall City, Steven T. Yates of Gooding, Idaho, Bri Russel of Goldbar and Tracy Mehl of Bremerton; and his sisters, Anita Finnsson of Palmer, Ala and Chrisy Wallace of Brentwood. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
