She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Berend and Fannie VanDyk (Plasman); and her sister Mary Elizabeth VanDyk Grote. She is survived by: her children, Miriam Herron (Michael) and Grant Holkeboer; her granddaughter Katherine Clemmens; her great grandchildren, Sara Alicia Harrison and Kythera Paige Ausmus; and her sister-in-law Alma Holkeboer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maplewood Presbyterian Church (19523 84th Ave W, Edmonds, WA 98026).
