He was predeceased by: his former wife Lucy; his parents, Lloyd Hammitt and Viola Hammitt; his siblings, Samual, Dorthy, Hazel Lee and Clara; and his grandson Ty Greyson.
He is survived by: his wife Clysta Victoria; his siblings, Lynn, Larry Hammitt, Betty McGehee and Diane Bigelow; and his children, Frank, Leon, Rocel, Samual and Christina. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
