He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Vanderberg and Etta Vanderberg (Greathouse); his wife Juanita; and his siblings, Mildred, Evelyn and Jacob, Jr..

He is survived by: his son Matthew; and his grandchildren, David, Christee and Tony. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Ben Vanderberg's name may be sent to any credible non-profit organization that supports the research of prevention and a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
