He is survived by: his wife Ginger; his children, Sejata Jones (Rodney Jarrells) and Bodhi Hays (Mary); his stepdaughter Ana Mitchell; his grandchildren, Tobias Mills, Keegan Hays, Burr Hays, Cassandra Mills and Taya Mitchell; his great grandchild Zoe Smith; his siblings, Linda Swanson (Tim) and Gary Hays (Paula); his siblings' children, Jeff Swanson (Sarah Danko) and Tracy Jensen (John); his great-nieces, Christina Bradley (Justin) and Samantha Cook; his friend David Blacker; and also, Roslyn Bradley, Amelia Cook and Antonnio Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations go to Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts, Washington State Department of Transportation Memorial Foundation, or Ludus Performing Arts.
