He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marnie Gentle; his children, John "Jack" Johnston, Scott Johnston, April Stephens, Sue Wasmund and Valerie Manarenas; his stepchildren, Dixie Clough and Jeff Clough; and his former wife Shirley. He was also cherished by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
