She was predeceased by : her parents, Martha Cantu and Daniel Dominguez; her husband Victor Vargas; her son Andrew Vargas; and her siblings, Josie Ramos, Larry Cantu Delapaz, Daniel Dominguez, Lydia Gongora, Diane Aguerro and Martin Menjarez.

She is survived by : her children, Victor Vargas, Hermenia Vargas, Martha Umagat, Sonia Vargas and Joann Trussell; and her sister Martha Guerrero. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
