He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schmidt and Margaret Schmidt; and his son Garry. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, Carol McMullen (Mike), Scott Schmidt and Rhonda Reilly (Pat); his grandchildren, Ryan McMullen (Tasha), Ian (Tricia McMullen), Dr. Beau (Becca Reilly), Michael (Emily Reilly), Foston (Cecilia Reilly), Kendra (Josh Smith) and Brandon (Brianna Schmidt); and his great grandchildren, Allison McMullen, Jillian, Luke Hoidal, Paxton, Katch McMullen, Shea, Rogan Reilly, Brooklyn, Cadence Reilly, Mason, Noah Elwood, Delainey, Bentley, Tucker, Jackson, Maverick Smith and Parker Schmidt.
