The memory of Joanne Marie Dimond of Lakewood, Washington, born in Tacoma, Washington, who passed away on November 7, 2025 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claire Schaefer and Arnold Schaefer; her brothers, Robert Schaefer and Vern Schaefer; and her stepdaughter Kim Dimond (George Bunn).
She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Dimond IlI; her sister Janet Burris; her sons, James Dimond (Karen Dimond), John Dimond (Cynthia Dimond) and Robert E. Dimond IV (Claudia Main); her stepdaughter Brenda Dobson (Wayne Dobson); her grandchildren, Kattrina Wise, Jermaine Yeldon, Jasmine Yeldon, Chloe Yeldon, Jessie Whitehead, Jennifer Gunn, Kellie Morgan, Cassie Alexander, Sara Dawson, Ryan Dimond, Mary Dimond and Jacob Dimond; and her sibling's children, Doug Reed and Jackie Reed-Koonce. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Oak Room at Mountain View (4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499).
In lieu of flowers, the Dimond family has requested that donations be made to the MS Society, or to Puget Sound Home and Hospice for the incredibly loving care they gave to Joanne.
