She was predeceased by : her parents, B. C. Kooten and Henrietta Van Kooten (Schemper); her sister Marge; her son Greg; and her grandson Nicholas.

She is survived by : her husband Sherwin; her children, Larry (Tonya) and Joan Henderson (Jeff); her grandchildren, Renee Gorman (Stephen), Alex Van Mersbergen and Christine Henderson; her stepgrandchildren, Cheramie Holt (Brian) and Jamie Marquez (Gilbert); and her sisters, Alta Louws, Irene Beld, Fran, Lois Apol (Arv) and Helen Terpsma. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
