He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Meulen and Etta Vander Meulen (Keuning); his brothers, Peter Vander Meulen and Andrew (Janice Vander Meulen); his brother-in-law Wilbur Stuit; and his siblings, Alyce Yonkman and Swietze Vander Meulen.
He is survived by : his wife Kathy Dykstra of Lynden Washington; his children, Starla Mulder (Bernie), Wade Vander Meulen (Julie), Tim Vander Meulen (Lorrainne) and Heidi Moore (Matt); his sister Bertha Silves (Lawrence); his sister-in-law Lois Vander Meulen; his sister Gertrude Stuit; his brother-in-law Mel Yonkman; and his siblings, Ted Vander Meulen (Dolores), Betty Hoksbergen (John) and Edna Vander Hoek (Bob). He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins, friends.
Memorial donations may be made to Covenant Christian School, Parkinson's Foundation, and Whatcom Hospice.
