He was predeceased by: his mother Lorna Cortes. He is survived by: his wife Emily Cortes; his daughter Heide; his siblings, BelindaJoy Cortes and Carlo Cortes; his sister-in-law Rena Cortes; his siblings' children, Carlotta Cortes, Charlotte Cortes, Cagalli Cortes and Ralph Cortes; his cousin Sharon Parker; and his pet Riley.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home (804 State Ave, Marysville, WA 98270). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (4200 88th Ave NE, Marysville, WA 98270).
His family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in his memory.
